The SCO is hosting Framingham State University (virtually) for a presentation on the college admissions process for first-generation students (first in their family to attend college) this Tuesday, May 10th, at 10:45 am in 303 (DSB).   Dear Students and Families of the Class of 2024 -   Please read this message in its entirety - there are a lot of updates regarding the financial aid and college application process at HHS.   You may have heard that there will be a significant overhaul of the processes and systems used to award federal student aid starting with the 2024–25 award year, which includes streamlining the  Free Application for Federal Student  Aid (FAFSA®) form. Here are the highlights: The FAFSA form previously opened on October 1st for the following academic year; in 2023, the FAFSA is currently projected to open in December to file for the 2024–25 award year. New term:  Contributor – Someone who is required to provide information on the FAFSA form. The new FAFSA is role-based, meaning that each contributor accessing the form will only see their section. 2022 PSAT Registration - Grades 10 & 11

Registration for the PSAT/NMSQT begins Friday, August 26th!  This year, the PSAT will be offered to both 10th and 11th graders. It will be administered on a school day, Wednesday, October 12th. WHY TAKE THE PSAT?  Practice! Plus, with your scores you will be able to connect to the personalized test prep offered through Khan Academy that is designed for each individual student based on an analysis of their performance on the test.  WHAT IS NMSQT?  NMSQT stands for the "National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test." The end of the year student celebrations are quickly approaching. For planning purposes, we are sharing the following event schedule:  Wednesday, June 1, 2022 - Senior Scholarship Evening - 7:00 pm Recipients and their families will be notified in advance via email. Recipients and their families are invited to attend. This event will be live-streamed and broadcast through Holliston Cable Access Television. Friday, June 3, 2022 - In-School Graduation / Grades 9-12 Department Awards - approximately 9:00 am (exact time to be determined) This is a student and faculty only event.  This event will be live-streamed through the  HHS School Counseling Facebook  page.  Thursday, June 9, 2022 - Junior Book Awards - 8:30 am Recipients and their families will be notified in advance via email.
